Project Overview
North Mountain Construction proudly served as the General Contractor and Construction Manager for the recently completed Eagle Estates project in Castlegar, BC. Operating locally out of Nelson, our company brought over 15 years of operational excellence and a dedicated workforce of nearly 50 local professionals to this essential community development. The finished facility features a three-storey, energy-efficient building comprising eight residential apartments and a 245-square-meter, five-bed ground-floor care facility. Building on our proven track record with previous BC Housing multi-family developments in Kaslo and New Denver, North Mountain successfully delivered a safe, highly accessible, and comfortable living space tailored to the needs of the Kootenay Society for Community Living.
Project Execution & Sustainability
Throughout the project’s lifecycle, the team maintained strict adherence to safety protocols, proactive budget management, and sustainable building practices, successfully meeting the project’s target to divert at least 60% of construction waste from the landfill. By fostering close collaboration with the Kootenay Society for Community Living, architect Christine Ross, and our trusted local sub-trades, North Mountain Construction delivered this vital housing complex on schedule and to the highest standards of quality.
