Project Overview
North Mountain Construction (NMC) was selected to deliver this regionally significant affordable housing development for the Lower Columbia Affordable Housing Society. The project consists of a three-storey, wood-frame building providing 31 residential units ranging from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layouts.
Designed to serve a diverse demographic, including seniors, families, and adults with developmental disabilities, the facility features fully accessible shared spaces to foster community integration. Funding for this project was secured through partnerships with BC Housing, the Columbia Basin Trust, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
Construction Management Delivery
NMC was engaged early as the Construction Manager to provide pre-construction services, working collaboratively with the design team to ensure the project budget aligned with funding envelopes.
Through detailed constructability reviews and value engineering, NMC provided cost-conscious solutions during the design phase to mitigate risk before breaking ground. Managing the project through to the construction phase, NMC’s oversight of local sub-trades and schedule management has kept the project tracking on time and on budget.
